The Justice Gateway will be unavailable on 2/16/2010 from 6:00 p.m. to about 10:00 p.m. in order to refresh the shared information that is available from DA-PROTECT. This applies to the production platform. No users will be able to log into a session in the Gateway or be able to conduct searches during this outage window.
User Administrators should call WIJIS for new, initial, default password taking effect February 3.
We have resolved the technical issues that necessitated taking down the staging platform earlier this afternoon (December 29, 2009). The staging platform should be up and running now for all users. Thank you for your patience.
Due to technical difficulties, the WIJIS staging platform (also known as the testing platform) will be temporarily unavailable to users starting at 12 pm today (December 29, 2009). We are working with DOJ to resolve this issue and will let you know as soon as the staging platform returns to normal use. Thank you.

As you may know, the Justice Gateway closes from 4:30 to 6:30 am on the 25th day of each month for periodic maintenance. Due to the holiday schedule for November, we are scheduling the November 2009 monthly maintenance for Tuesday, November 24, from 4:30 to 6:30 am. Please make a note of it!
The Justice Gateway was proud to sponsor an informational booth and to present a project overview session at the 2009 NENA conference, October 26-27, 2009, held at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. Thanks to all of our users who came over to visit us at the booth and took the time to attend our presentation session on Tuesday the 27! We were represented by Jeff Sartin, WIJIS Program Director; Shelly Fox, Justice Gateway Program Coordinator; and Rachael Lohr, WIJIS Project Manager.
WIJIS Program Director Jeff Sartin and Data Architect Bill Blondeau, joined by Andrew Carrion, Public Safety Business Development Lead for the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department, were honored to give a presentation at the 2009 NIEM (National Information Exchange Model) Conference, held in Baltimore, MD September 28-30, 2009. Their presentation focused on implementation of the booking information exchange project in place between the Milwaukee Police Department and the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Department.
Did you know that you can find a complete list of agencies contributing to the Justice Gateway with the click of a mouse? It's easy: just consult the Matrix. To find it, click on the "Info" tab, then select "source info", then select "agency matrix." A PDF file will appear that lists every agency that contributes to the Justice Gateway, as well as the number of pointer records that each agency submits. It is the fastest and easiest way to determine what agencies contribute to the Justice Gateway and how quickly the numbers of records are growing. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Agency Matrix, please feel free to contact Shelly Fox, Justice Gateway program coordinator, at 608-264-7656 or email at shelly.fox@wisconsin.gov at your convenience.
WIJIS needs your help! We are forming a user group composed of people who regularly use the Justice Gateway and can give us feedback regarding what works, what needs improvement and how we can best serve the user community. This wouldn't be a large time commitment -- we can arrange meetings via teleconference or in person according to member schedules and preferences -- but your input would be absolutely invaluable in building a better Justice Gateway both now and for the future. All regular users are invited to participate. If you are interested, please call Shelly Fox, Justice Gateway program coordinator, at 608-264-7656 or send an email to shelly.fox@wisconsin.gov.
